Hey there! I’m Germaine.
A product designer by trade and problem-solver by nature, I’m drawn to anything that teases the brain — from messy UX flows to escape rooms and strategy games. There’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of cracking a problem wide open, whether it’s a design challenge or a locked door in a dungeon.

I began my career in the public health sector, where I built a strong foundation in service design by mapping patient and staff journeys, optimising workflows, and shaping enterprise tools like case management systems. This experience sharpened my ability to design for complexity within the healthcare landscape.
My Journey
SingHealth Polyclinics
Ministry of Health
Subsequently, I moved upstream to shape national strategies and policies in the mental health and dementia space. This gave me a systems level view of how high-level decisions impact the everyday experiences of patients, caregivers, and providers on the ground.
Open Government Products
Now, I bring both operational and policy perspectives into product design. I co-create solutions with the people behind public health and social care, translating insights into product direction and building tools that address the day-to-day challenges of frontline work.

Why I design
My journey has given me a front-row seat to how large systems can burden users with unnecessary complexity. I believe good design isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about making things work better. I want my work to reach beyond the screen, to make everyday systems kinder, clearer, and more humane for as many people as possible.
Sleep is negotiable. Misaligned pixels are not. I have been known to lose entire nights just nudging things into place, chasing down rogue inconsistencies like a designer possessed. Perfectionism or passion? Honestly, I think it's both.
What I do...
I build relationships and involve users early to make sure we’re solving the right problems, the right way.
Talking to Users
Digging for Insights
I analyse both qualitative and quantitative data to uncover patterns and inform design decisions.
Designing in Figma
From wireframes to high-fidelity mockups, I spend a lot of time bringing ideas to life visually.
Collaborating with Engineers
I work hand-in-hand with engineers to turn designs into real, working experiences.
Tinkering with Tools
I unwind by experimenting with Lottie, Spline, Framer (and many more) to stay curious and expand my creative toolbox.
Learning to Speak Dev
I’ve been learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and SQL to better bridge design and development, and work more effectively within the product team.

Scribe
Scribe transforms spoken conversations into structured summaries, enabling social workers to stay focused on their clients by reducing the burden of documentation. Through iterative user research and concept testing, we introduced design changes to better align with real-world documentation practices, reducing time spent on writing case notes and improving the relevance of generated summaries.
Web App Design
OncoBase
In this project, we developed a minimum viable product for OncoBase, an AI-powered clinical decision support tool providing oncologists with evidence-based recommendations, research, and treatment protocols. To address clinician scepticism towards AI and concerns about integration with existing clinical systems, our team designed a product focused on building trust and ensuring seamless interoperability.
Software Design
Mobile@HDB
Prioritising essential, resident-centric features, we overhauled the Mobile@HDB app to address the key needs of its primary users. By streamlining access to vital housing and car park services and information, we enhanced usability and created a more seamless mobile experience.
Mobile App Redesign
Feed My Paws
As a side project, I took on the challenge of completely revamping Feed My Paws, a pet treats website, focusing on clearer navigation and integrating vibrant visuals to elevate the shopping experience.
